One-Day Media Diary

TUESDAY, March 8, 2011
7.30 am – Coldplay woke me up as alarm clock went off on my mobile phone. I was too tired to get up so I turned it off knowing that the second one would go off 30 minutes later.
8.00 am – Woke up again by my mobile phone and this time I managed to get up.
9.00 am – Turned on the TV while eating breakfast. Nothing of interest so I ended up watching one of the morning shows for ten minutes.
9.30 am – Went to uni with my housemate in her car, we listened to the radio on the way.
10.57 am – Received a text message from a friend.
11.45 am – Went to the computer lab to check my email and Blackboard after my tutorial.
2.00 pm – Decided to go home from uni, sent a few text messages while on the bus.
3.30 pm – Logged on to my laptop while eating lunch, checked Facebook, email and read an online Norwegian newspaper.
5.30 pm – Decided to go for a run, listened to my Mp3 player as music keeps me going.
7.20 pm – Talked to my parents on Skype for 40 minutes.
8.00 pm – Watched some random show on TV while making dinner.
9.00 pm – Turned on my laptop and logged on to Facebook. Nothing interesting was happening there, so I checked my email before I logged on to Blackboard to do some uni work.
10.30 pm – Watched Cougar Town on channel 7.
11.30 pm – Went to bed and listened to my Mp3 player for about 20 minutes before I fell asleep.

SUMMARY
Around 5 hours on the Internet, 1 hour watching television, 1 hour listening to the Mp3 player, 15 minutes listening to the radio and around 10 minutes on the mobile phone sending text messages.
